What’s a good, inexpensive web-based software/system for managing speaking tours? This community based organization is developing a speakers’ bureau and needs a Web-based solution to handle CRM/contact management, task management, and if possible, sample contracts.

Your help is needed in a flash! This TechSoup user created a Website in Flash, and put all six pages in a flash folder on the server, but only the home page is loading up and running properly.

Can anyone recommend ‘cyber cafe’ software to help this TechSoup user whose organization is implementing a program to provide community Internet and PC access? The organization needs a way to manage and monitor PC use for the six computers it will start with, and provide a base level of protection for the shared PCs/equipment.

Recently this TechSoup user purchased Symantec 10.1 and installed it on a Windows Server 2003 R2. When the user clicks on live update, there’s a message indicating the user can only receive one free update. Is this an erroneous message? If the user continues with the update, will the new definitions be included?

Can you advise on how to make a back-up, hard copy (CD) of a on-line installation of Adobe Acrobat 8? This TechSoup user wants to have a backup copy, should it be necessary to reinstall the Adobe Acrobat software with different criteria (login, password, etc.) in the future.

It takes this TechSoup user quite some time to wade through the over 3,500 contacts in his Treo. He’s looking for a third-party software package with an improved way to search contacts, in particular, having the ability to search in the ‘notes’ section.

This TechSoup user has a problem that keeps popping up–literally. After re-installing Windows XP Pro on a laptop and running all of the updates, a System Preparation Tool box pops up. The user is unable to stop this box from popping up.
