Suddenly this TechSoup user’s Entourage address book has stopped functioning. It still works to type a name in, but if the user tries to find an address by “Company,” there’s the error message, ” mail error” or if the user presses “control_F” and then try to find addresses by city, state, etc., the user gets a blank screen.

We need your tech expertise in suggesting a phone/phone system solution for this TechSoup user. This organization of seven would like a efficient and effective phone solution with voicemail capabilities where phones can be be auto-answered to a directory to ring staff lines directly.

This TechSoup user is looking for a Web-based application to use for scheduling volunteers for regularly schedule opportunities and special events. Preferably this application would allow an administrator to set up a schedule and then let volunteers login and sign up.

What’s a chat service that will allow many users to communicate with a single person? This TechSoup user would like to see everything from a group of users without the group seeing the messages of others, similar to the functionality in webcast software. Anyone seen it as a standalone solution?

Has anybody used Microsoft SharePoint to manage grants from the application stage through reporting? This TechSoup user is potentially interested in using Sharepoint as project management tool for online collaboration for fundraising.

What is a good tool to use to create a virtual tour? This TechSoup user has several jpeg pictures she’d like to string together and play one after the other, preferably with captions, to create a ‘tour’ of school facilities. Audio is not required. What free or discounted software can be used to accomplish this?

This TechSoup user purchased a new laptop with Vista Home installed, but still has several unused XP licenses and would like to”upgrade” the machine to XP Pro or to Vista Business to run on an SBS2003 network.
